WESTERVILLE, Ohio — A woman has died after being shot in a shopping center parking lot just south of Westerville on Tuesday, according to police. Blendon Township Police Chief John Belford said officers were dispatched to the Sunbury Plaza parking lot on Sunbury Road around 5:55 p.m. for a report of a gunshot wound. Officers found a woman shot inside of a vehicle. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead at 6:22 p.m. Belford said the suspect is at large and police have launched a multi-state investigation, but he does not believe there is a threat to the public.
